Blå Station was founded in 1986 by Borge Lindau, furniture designer and jazz lover. This family company is now run by his children, Mimi and Johan, and is based in the little seaside town of Åhus on the beautiful south east coast of Sweden. Blå Station's predominant philosophy is to produce furniture that has been carefully conceived based on the dual perspective of innovation and sustainability. Within their ranges you will find exceptional and ingenious designs unlike any others. When developing a new product Blå Station push the boundaries of form, function, materials and often the industrial processes needed to produce it. For them a new product must demonstrate these qualities otherwise it is just another product. The materials they use in manufacturing their furniture are always recyclable, derived from renewable sources or recoverable as energy, and Blå Station's furniture is always made in Sweden.
